Letters and replies

For sales Every recipient gets a letter in their own language, and you read, decide and approve in yours.

This is how a Polish campaign's letter, the reply, the approval card and the company's record look in your account. We cover the company names with a bar.

What happens to your letter in the recipient's inbox

A head of procurement finds thirty letters in the morning. Whatever came in a foreign language or from a template, they push to the back, unread. Whatever speaks about their own company in their own language, they open.

Apex's letteropened, a reply follows

Apex's letter is in the recipient's language, it speaks about their own company, and it arrives during their working hours, when the rest of the day's letters do. That is why it is opened.

What others have measured about language

Three independent measurements, data from other companies and researchers.

0%

of buyers would rather buy a product they can read about in their own language

40% never buy from a website in another language

Source: CSA Research, 'Can't Read, Won't Buy', 2020, 8,709 buyers, 29 countries. A consumer survey, measured data from other companies.

The person who makes this decision as a shopper is the same person who chooses the supplier at their company. Apex's letter arrives in their language.

0%

of working-age adults in the European Union speak no foreign language at all

and of those who do, only 28% consider themselves confident in it

Source: Eurostat, Adult Education Survey, 2022. Measured data from other researchers.

For a quarter of recipients, a foreign-language letter never even reaches its point. With Apex, both the letter and the reply go in the recipient's language.

0%

of European small and medium-sized businesses have already lost a contract for lack of language skills

195 of 1,964 businesses surveyed

Source: European Commission, ELAN study, 2006. Measured data from other companies.

Your team does not need to speak the target market's language. Apex writes, reads and translates the correspondence, and you decide in your own language.

The negotiation can be in English

The letter goes in the recipient's own language, because the inbox is where it is decided whether it gets opened. In most markets an online meeting works well in English too, and on request Apex offers it as early as the reply.

How it runs on your desk

1

The letter is written in the target market's language

Your account manager prepares the campaign letters from what Apex already knows about the companies, with the target market's language in mind. Apex translates every sentence, then goes over each one in a second round to make sure it says the same as the original and sounds natural. The salutation and the closing follow the custom of that language, and your signature for that market goes at the foot of the letter.

On your desk: the letter can also be read in your own language, and it starts with an Approve button.

2

The reply comes in their language, you read it in yours

Whoever replies, replies in their own language. Apex sorts it just as it sorts a letter written in your language, and turns it into a task. In the reader a button translates it, and in the chat it gives you the gist in one sentence.

On your desk: the original letter and its translation sit side by side, with the sorting.

3

You say it in your language, they receive it in theirs

You say what you want to get across. Apex phrases it in the recipient's language, with the form of address stored for the contact, formal or informal, as you have written to them so far, and puts its mirror in your language beside it. The sending happens after your approval, from your own sending address, during their working hours.

On your desk: the draft stands in two languages, and it goes with an Approve button.

The company's website in your language

Apex read the company's own website, in their language. On the record you see the summary and the activities in your language, and the original is one click away.

On their website, in Polish

Pakujemy żywność w opakowania zbiorcze dla sieci handlowych i producentów. Pracujemy w dwóch zmianach, mamy własny magazyn i dostarczamy również do klientów w Niemczech i Czechach.

On the record, in your language

A food-packing plant near Poznań. It packs food into bulk cartons and shrink wrap for retail chains and producers, works two shifts, has its own warehouse, and also supplies customers in Germany and the Czech Republic.

The same happens the other way round. If a Polish colleague of yours opens a Czech or Hungarian company, they get the record in their own language, and your colleagues get it in theirs.

Why this is good for you

Nothing for you to translate

Everything reaches your desk in your language: the letter, the reply, the company's record and the briefing. You read, decide and approve, and Apex carries the language.

The recipient does not feel written to from India or from somewhere far away

The letter arrives in their language, with their form of address and your local signature, during their working hours. They open it just as they would a letter from a domestic supplier.

The groundwork is done, and the negotiation can be in English

The company's record stands in your language even when their website is Polish, Czech or German. The correspondence stays in their own language, and you can move the online meeting to English at any time, which Apex offers in the reply.
