How the first month begins

For leaders From your first sign-in to the first letter: what your part is, what Apex handles, and where your assigned account manager helps.

This is how the first month with Apex looks in your account.

How the first month goes

The first month is for preparation. No letters go out this month; the first letters start at the end of it, once everything is ready and you have approved it.

Before that: the free demo
  1. Apex gets to know you

On your first sign-in, Apex greets you and, with a few questions, gets to know you: what your role in the company is, and what you will ask it for.

Your part: a few minutes talking to Apex.

  2. The company introduction

In the conversation Apex asks you about the company: what you offer and to whom, where you are stronger, who your best customers are. If it is easier, you get the questions as a downloadable template too: you fill it in with your colleagues and send it back with one click.

Your part: putting the company introduction together, in the conversation or with the template.

In detail: Apex knows your company
  3. Inviting your colleagues

After the introduction, Apex asks who else works with you. You can invite colleagues on the Team page, as many as there are users in your plan. This is also where you set who the approver at your company will be, the person who approves the letter signatures and the campaigns. Whoever joins only introduces themselves; by then Apex already knows the company.

Your part: inviting your colleagues and choosing the approver.

    In detail: Joiners and leavers
  4. A consultation with your account manager

By the next working day your assigned account manager gets in touch through the system, and you agree an online time. You go over the target groups, who signs the letters, who gets notified, and what should happen with each kind of reply. You also look at how many sending mailboxes are worth setting up, the current technical state of the domain, and what will need changing on it.

    Your part: one online consultation.

  5. Setting up the sending mailboxes

The letters do not go out from your current, day-to-day mailbox. One or more new mailboxes are created on your company's own domain, for Apex alone. They are the same kind of mailbox as your current one, they just run separately, so your personal correspondence stays untouched. Setting them up is simple: you do it, and Apex walks you through it step by step. The password and the login details stay with you; the expert does not receive them. Meanwhile Apex also checks the domain.

Your part: setting up the mailboxes, with Apex's help.

    In detail: Letters and replies
  6. Build and approval

With Apex, the expert builds the target groups, checking them company by company, and prepares the campaign letters, the signature and the reply handling. When everything is ready, you get an approval request in the system where you see it all in one place: the campaigns with their letters, and the signature. You approve the campaigns and the letter signatures. Nothing goes out without your approval.

Your part: approving the campaigns and the signatures.

    In detail: Target group
  7. The first letters

After a final check on the domain, the first letters start, from the sending addresses on your company's own domain.

Your part: from here on, receiving the replies.

    In detail: Filtered inbox

Three of you see the start through

There is little to do in your lane: about four hours in the first month, including the company introduction, the consultation and the approvals. Most of the work sits with Apex and your account manager.

Why this is good for you

You know in advance what to expect

Your part is the introduction, the invitations, one consultation, setting up the mailboxes, and the approvals. In the first month that is about four hours, and at every step Apex tells you what comes next.

Nothing goes out without your approval

You approve the target groups, the campaigns and the letter signatures. If you do not like a letter, you ask for another variant or a change, and the expert fixes it.

The mailbox stays yours

The sending mailboxes sit on your company's own domain, and you set them up yourself, easily, with Apex's help. No one asks you for the password, and your personal correspondence stays untouched.

If you're stuck

Ask Apex first: it is there in the conversation at any time, at night too. Whatever Apex cannot help with, you talk through with your account manager, in the chat room that belongs to your account, or in an online consultation if that is what it takes.

  • On the Account manager page you can see who is helping you and how far the start has got.
  • Whatever needs your decision gathers in the same place, all together.
  • Colleagues who join later also start with a single conversation; by then Apex already knows the company.
