I am a marketer working for clients

At each client, you get your own account inside the client's company account, paid for by the client. In your own account you learn the system, and with Trendizz you can reach the companies that need a marketer, or that would like someone to run their Trendizz account for them as a service. Many companies do not have the time or the expertise to run their Trendizz account themselves. Whoever learns the system can offer exactly that as a service: building the campaigns with Apex, setting up the team and the mailboxes, and keeping the account in order. Running the account is your service, and the client pays for their Trendizz plan. To sign in, you need a company email address on your own . As a freelancer, an address on your own business's domain is fine too; you cannot sign in with Gmail or another free address.

This is for you if…
  • you work for several companies as a marketer or agency;
  • you want to build your clients' campaigns with Apex;
  • you are looking for new clients for your own service.
What will be ready at the end

You have your own account as your own company, and at each client an account in the client's company account, with a separate email address. Clients' letters go out from the client's mailbox, and the client's salesperson handles their replies.

Six steps

Each step comes with the sentence you can copy into Apex, and what Apex does with it.

  1. Your own account, as your own company

In your own account, your own business is the company: you start on Apex Free, and with Trendizz you reach the companies that need your service.

Where: trendizz.com › Try it, then the conversation
    Ask ApexApex does it

I do online marketing. Which companies should I be writing to?

  2. Learning in your own account

On Apex Free you can search, open 10 companies, and build a campaign and its letters. Sending the letters and handling the replies come with the Start plan and above: you learn the whole path, from search to replies, on Start, for your own business. From your first client on, the client pays for your account in their company account.

Where: the conversation; the Setup bar above the input field
    Ask ApexApex tells you

Show me from the start how a campaign gets going.

  3. One account per client, in the client's company account

The client opens their company account: they sign in first, become the company's , and first choose a paid plan for themselves. Then they invite you into their company account, also on a paid plan, paid with the client's bank card; the two plans can differ. Ask for the User role if you only build campaigns, and for Administrator if you also set up the and mailboxes. 5 clients mean 5 accounts, each at its own client.

Where: in the client's account: first Account menu › My subscription, then Account menu › Team management › Invite
    Ask ApexApex tells you

My new client wants to invite me to their account. What do they need to set up?

  4. A separate email address for each client

An email address can belong to only one company, so each client account needs a separate address. The simplest way is for the client to give you an address on their own . You switch between clients by signing out and signing in with the other client's address.

Where: when inviting, in the Email address field
    Ask ApexApex tells you

I have three clients. How many email addresses do I need?

  5. Sent in the client's name

The client's letters go out from the client's mailbox, so the client is the one sending them. For this, the client creates a new mailbox used only for campaign mail: on their own domain, in the name of the person who handles the replies, rather than a such as sales@ or info@. It should be a full, separate mailbox, not an alias of another one: mail providers see aliases as a single account, so several aliases all weigh on the reputation of one mailbox. reads and sorts every incoming letter in the connected mailbox. The mailbox's should be the client's salesperson, so they get the tasks from the replies. After , one mailbox sends around 50 campaign letters per working day; for a faster pace you can connect more mailboxes, each one a separate, full mailbox.

Where: in the client's account: Mail › Senders › the sender › Overview › Responsible person and purpose
    Ask ApexApex sets it up

Make Esther the sender's owner, she handles their sales.

  6. Your fee and the client's plan

The client pays Trendizz for their Trendizz plan, and for yours too. You set your own fee and invoice the client yourself; there is currently no separate commission scheme.

Where: in the client's account: Account menu › My subscription
    Ask ApexApex tells you

How much does my account cost my client?

What it costs

An example of the monthly fee. Plans are personal, per month, plus VAT.

Each client needs at least two paid plans: one for the client's Superuser, because they send the invitation, and one for you. With two Start plans: 2 × €99 per month, plus VAT, from the client's bank card.

Campaign letters go out when the mailbox paid plan is active. If the owner is the client's , no third plan is needed. For learning in your own account, you need the Start plan: €99 per month, plus VAT.

Frequently asked questions

What most people ask in this situation.

What should the client prepare?

A paid plan for themselves, a paid plan for you, a company address for you on their own , and a new mailbox for the campaigns, in the name of the person who handles the replies. checks the domain's settings and tells you if anything needs setting up with the domain provider.

When do the first replies come in?

A new mailbox sends a few letters a day at first and reaches its full pace in about 15 working days. When companies reply is up to them; nobody can promise that in advance.

Does the client need a separate CRM?

No. Trendizz has what you need for sales: each company's record holds every letter, call and task, and the company's . The client's salesperson can handle prospects who come in by phone or another way here too: they tell Apex, and Apex opens the company's record by its domain (even if the company is not yet in our database), logs the call, and sets the owner and the task.

Who is legally responsible for the letters?

The client is the sender of the letters and the controller of the contacted companies' data. Everyone accepts the General Terms and Conditions when they first sign in, the client and you as well. Apex is built exclusively for business-to-business (B2B) sales and uses the business contact details that companies have made public.

Pitfalls

What most people run into, and how to avoid it.

Always work with your own sign-in

The sign-in of the client's managing director belongs to one person; the General Terms and Conditions say so too.

Someone from the client's company should create the API key

The key is tied to whoever created it; if you create it, the CRM sync stops when your work with the client ends.

When you stop working together

The client deactivates your account in their company account, and hands your work over to someone at the client. Your own account and your accounts at other clients do not change.
