Event log

Every company's record keeps a log of who in your company did what with it, and when: a colleague, Apex, a sending mailbox or the system. You can view the log on the record, and you can also ask Apex about it, for one company, many companies, one colleague or a period. It is included in every plan.

One company's log

The level of interest, the owner, the observers, the closing, the campaigns and letters, the exclusion, the tasks, the touches, the contacts, the files, the tags and the exports: every change is one row, with the actor's name and the time.

Who marked Clarke & Partners as lost, and why?
What happens
Apex reads the company's log and tells you in date order who did what: with the date, the actor's name and, where there was one, the reason given. For a change it also says what it was before and what it became, for example who the owner was before the company moved to a colleague.
Where it shows
In the chat, in Apex's answer.
What happens
On the company's record, the clock icon at the end of the row of tabs opens the Log in place of the three views. The rows run day by day, newest at the top; you can filter by category and actor, and when you expand a change's row you see what it was before and what it became. Anything that happens while the Log is open appears at the top, marked New.
Where it shows
On the company's record, with the clock icon at the end of the row of tabs.

The log is visible to the company's owner, its observers and your company's Administrators; for a company with no owner, to everyone who can open the record. Opening the Log does not use any of Apex's allowance.

What happens
Every export and every download goes into the log of each company in the export: who made it, when, in which export and together with how many companies, and also whether it was started from an Apex card. From this Apex tells you who exported the company, and when.
Where it shows
In the chat, in Apex's answer, and in the company's log, under the File category.

Many companies, one colleague, one period

Apex searches the logs of many companies at once: by actor, category, campaign and period, going back up to 12 months.

At which companies did the owner change in October?
What happens
Apex sums up what it found in two to four sentences: how many events, from whom, of what kind, on which days and at which companies. It opens the full results in the workspace as a Log search, 50 rows per page; click the domain in a row to open the company.
Where it shows
In the chat, in Apex's answer, and in the workspace, on the Log search tab.

A Log search can only be opened by the person who asked Apex for it, and it is kept for 30 days. To change the criteria, tell Apex; it opens the new results in the same place.

What happens
Apex answers by actor: it counts its own work, the sending mailboxes' and the system's separately, so you can see what Apex did in your place.
Where it shows
In the chat, in Apex's answer.
What happens
Apex finds the closings that nobody gave a reason for, and tells you who closed them and when. In the same way you can ask about companies that were excluded and then restored, about file downloads, or about who deleted a lot of things in one day.
Where it shows
In the chat, in Apex's answer, and in the workspace, on the Log search tab.

The team's work

From the facts in the log, Apex can tell you who worked on what. It states facts, with numbers and a period, and no judging words.

Who closed the most companies in my group last week?
What happens
Apex gathers what the colleague has recorded: how many companies they closed, how many tasks they completed, how many touches they logged, and how much this changed compared with the previous period. It also says what the log cannot see: calls and meetings that were never logged, and letters written outside Trendizz.
Where it shows
In the chat, in Apex's answer.

Your company's Administrators can ask about a colleague's work, and a group leader about the members of their own group.

A group leader, the Superuser or an Administrator can ask
What happens
Anyone can ask about their own work: Apex sums up what you recorded this week, by company and by kind. For someone who is neither an Administrator nor a group leader, Apex does not assess a colleague's work; it says that this is meant for leaders, and answers about your own companies instead.
Where it shows
In the chat, in Apex's answer.

What stays out of the log

The log shows what happened to the company. It deliberately does not record who looked at a record.

What happens
No. Opening and viewing a record does not go into the log, and nobody sees it. The log records changes: who changed what, what they logged, what they sent or downloaded.
Where it shows
In the chat, in Apex's answer.

Anything that did not happen in Trendizz, such as a call or meeting that was never logged, is not in the log either. Once you log it as a touch, it is there from then on.

Good to know

The decision is always yours

Wherever approval is needed, Apex shows the card, and only carries it out after you click.

It only works from what it has

Apex tells you what's on the record and in the correspondence. If there's no data on something, it says so.

Another team's company

If another team within your company is working with a company, Apex flags it as taken, and doesn't say who's handling it.

In your own words

You can write to Apex in your own words. The example prompts work verbatim too, but it understands your own phrasing just as well.
