Who gets the task from a reply

When a company you contacted replies to a campaign letter, reads the reply and sorts it. Some replies it handles on its own, such as a bounced letter, an out-of-office reply or an unsubscribe. Anything that needs a person, such as interest, a rejection or a question, becomes a task.

Who gets the task

  1. The colleague who is the of the company that was contacted. The owner is shown on the company's record ().
  2. If the company has no owner yet, the mailbox owner gets it: the person whose mailbox the reply arrived in. By default, that is whoever connected the mailbox.
  3. If the mailbox has no owner either, the longest-standing of the company account gets it.

What this means when you set things up

Where a salesperson handles the replies, make the salesperson the of the mailbox, not the person who built the campaign. If someone else answers a mailbox's letters, tell Apex and it will change the owner. You can also divide the companies by name: if a company has an owner, that person gets the tasks from its replies, whichever mailbox the letter arrives in.

The owner of an interested company

If a company replies with interest and has no yet, the person who gets the task from its reply becomes its owner. From then on, that person gets the task from every reply the company sends.

If someone leaves the team

A deactivated colleague is skipped in this order: new replies from their companies become tasks for the mailbox . On , their mailboxes must be given a new owner, so the task always ends up with a person.

Where to find it
